The following collage of Snapshots photos has been included in the Breaking the Stereotype 2009-2010 - From Orient and Occident to a Mutual Understanding of Images exhibition of the years 2009 and 2010 under the title "Istanbul". Its purpose was to contrast a tourist's/ a stranger's view on Istanbul with the view on the city by a local.
The collage photos illustrating the local's view on the city have been shot by Serhan Oksay.

The Breaking the Stereotype 2009-2010 - From Orient and Occident to a Mutual Understanding of Images exhibition was part of the official programme of Istanbul 2010 - European Capital of Culture.
Like the IMAGES project the Breaking the Stereotype project is an academic culture project directed by Veronika Bernard, and by Serhan Oksay as the head of the artistic team.
